A certain wariness reflected in her actions as her fingers skimmed the edges of Morgana’s dress, as if some untold rule prevents her from hanging on. Morgana turned under her own power, catching Gwen’s cheek with her palm. What they had was easy once, when there weren’t expectations and dissimilar wants drifting between them.
“I promise I’m fine, Gwen.”
Morgana gave her a kiss on the cheek and moved to stand before the partition, straining for the thread that laced her dress together. “Could you help me get this off?”
