The inspiration for the psychic Gift of Nokwahl, the main character in my first novel ("I'll Tell You No Lies") and of the second one I'm writing, was from a Star Trek episode. I noticed a few mistakes in my novel, "I'll Tell You No Lies," that might be too late to fix, unless it's possible to fix them when I get my galleys back (which is taking FOREVER by the way). I got my contract for my book! Dunno how much longer it will be before the book is out, but that's a major step. Now I just have to get it in the mail so I can sign it. I'm reviewing the electronic copy right now.

Had my first day at my new job yesterday. It was difficult, but I love it already. The last hour was like a long break, with everyone in bed. We only had to get up every now and then during that last hour to do bed checks.
