Nora now has NeoOffice!

Since the peculiarities of installing an old version of OpenOffice on Nora (my Apple laptop with the old OS) involved highly technical stuff I couldn't even begin to understand, and I didn't want to bother with trying, I looked into someone's mention of NeoOffice, which is like OpenOffice but is designed to work with my kind of laptop (without that ( Read more... )

I love naming stuff. My camera is Helios. I haven't named the laptop yet.

My cellphone doesn't have a name after three years, despite being quirky enough for one now. One of the buttons takes a lot of force to depress these days. I wish it were that hard to depress me.

Your subconscious may have liked the name Nora, because it is similar to Fayanora, even without you consciously noticing it. I've read that people tend to have a fondness for their own names which affects how they much like other words containing the same letters.

Tiamat, now that's a good name. :-)

My PC is named "Ahnai." Means "Sacred" in TPNN. My first computer was named Frankie, since he was a Frankenputer.

My first car was a Pontiac Sunbird, so s/he was Sunny. My second car was a Dodge. Dodge's symbol is a ram, which made me think of megs of RAM, so she became Meg.
