I need a simple, easy to understand explanation of how to mount a Windows formatted partition in Ubuntu.
You see, a couple years ago I tried installing Ubuntu on my home PC. Didn't realize the external 2 TB drive, Sahn-Kusahn1 (formerly Alexandria), was plugged in. Didn't notice the program was trying to install Ubuntu on the 2 TB drive at first;

The problem is how to find out what the name *is*. Probably /dev/something. but finding that "something" is the "hard" part. Getting a list of partitions is probably easy as well. I just don't know how.
