Anyone have any suggestions that can meet as many of the following points as possible?

• Iconic - should be a really 'gettable' concept
• Incorporeal - although tied to life/fighting to maintain corporeality
• Not undead - no haunting people. Got enough undead
• Ideally a Classical Antiquity (Roman/Greek) theme

Not accepting the Ethereals from Burning Crusade.

How about something similar to the Nymph Echo?

The myths gets most of those points apart from the haunting thing as she's only noticeable when there are other people around.

Or in a similar sort of direction, dryad type things in the style of Narnia - spirit that are attached to something (trees, rivers, whatever), but can move independently of their inanimate homes?
