Bras- Absolutely Desperate for Help! :(

Hi everyone! I am so desperate for some bra help. Right now, my 40DD/42DD bras from Fredricks of Hollywood are too big (not to mention they are all so worn out!) They lift away from my chest, and the straps fall down. My problem area is my back, as I have some back fat that I like my bras to "hug," this way my back looks smooth. Playtex makes a back smoothing bra that comes in several nice colors and prints. They're online at justmysize.com -and I see you're trying to avoid buying online so if you have a Hanes/Bali/Playtex outlet near you (sometimes the outlet store is called Hanesbrands) they carry them there also, up to a size 48D. Every now and then Ross Dress for Less has these too, if you have Ross stores in your area.

Avenue does have nice bras. I don't know if they have any in particular that are back-smoothing, I do know that their padded athletic bras have 4 or 5 hooks in the back, though. Stay away from the wirefree padded bras, however - there is a manufacturer's issue with the straps on those and they unclip from the bra very easily, which is why they're on clearance for $20 in most stores.

When I worked at LB, people used to swear by these bras for their back-smoothing abilities:

i actually tried that back smoothing bra at Avenue and it really did the trick in terms of smoothing out lumps. you may have to size down, though, since their bras tend to run a bit big. another option is ashley stewart -- they sell those back smoothing butterfly bras, but i don't know what their cup sizes go up to.

i've recently moved away from LB/Cacique bras and starting buying from Simply Be, which are amazingly true to size (which is rare when ordering from online).
