Frye boots

Lately I've been examining my shoe collection and realizing it's time I spent some money on a pair of shoes that will last. I've been looking at ankle boots, something that look nice with slacks. I have heard good things about Frye but never owned a pair. Anyone have any recommendations? Even for other brands, the ones that you save up for.

I've got 3 pairs of Fryes and a Frye handbag. your standard cowboy boot and two pairs of ballet flats. worth every damn penny. and don't forget your boot tree (to keep shafts from falling over while not in use) + Cedar shoe tree insert (to prevent wrinkles in the leather uppers). Learn from my mistake, 2 years with neither and i've got wicked creases in my boots. Not Frye's fault at all.

haven't needed to, not daily wears. the ballet flats are only a few months old but each one is an every-other-day-wear. I must take turns even tho I def hav a fav. I have the Carson harness flats and regular Carson ballet. The first day I wore the Carson harness flats I had them on for 14hrs. Nary a peep from my feets!

I've got one pair of Frye ankle boots I got last year, I haven't broken them in yet but I absolutely love them. my fiance has a pair of Frye motorcycle boots he uses when he rides and he is very very happy with them. my mom has a pair from 1990 that are perfect condition despite being worn frequently- most certainly worth the money.

thanks for the comment. 1990? that's crazy. sounds like they're definitely worth the money.

I very sadly can't wear Frye boots. I have an annoyingly high instep and can't get them on, no matter which style I try.

My Frye boots will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands. I got them two years ago and beat the hell out of them from October-April since and they still look perfect (to be fair they are the Veronica slouch boots and the leather has distressed more but I was hoping they would). They were worth every single penny.
