Yeah, I had noticed this as well. I kind of feel like they think their clothes are for that sort of body, closer to a women's fit with larger bust or hips than a plus fit - and not my fat body. It doesn't work for me either.
But this isn't the only store I've noticed. Torrid has done a similar thing - they used to have much more diversity in their models.
Granted, I've only purchased from Asos once but I had a good/bad experience with the fit. One dress is the most perfect thing I've ever put on, and the other has the most obnoxious monstrosity of a lining I've ever encountered - looks like I'm supposed to have a second pair of boobs under my armpits, but is too tight across my stomach.
