I feel like I could've written this. I know ASOS Curve usually uses gorgeous models that are about a US 8/10 (just my guess), but this new one had me looking at the screen like, "???"
I'll be writing them tonight or tomorrow!

I figure they do this because for every one of us that are into fat acceptance there are four others that still have the conventional beauty mindset and in order to market to those people they have to show the clothes in a way that will be palatable to them. I think a good compromise would be to allow customers to submit photos of themselves in the clothes and show those somewhere on the product page. I know I won't buy anything from Asos without seeing it on a fat body first, whether here or on a blog.

Forever 21 has been doing this lately too

Yeah, but I mean, I can at least understand with F21, since they are sized way smaller than a great deal of the ASOS stuff. As an hourglass size 20-22, I can't wear any of the non stretch stuff from F21.

It kind of baffles me that ASOS (and other retailers as well) do this. Why bother with creating a plus size range in the first place if you're only going to use models that discourage people from shopping because it is impossible to see what the clothes will look like on an actual plus size body? It would have been ideal if they had used "properly" plus sized models, but I can live with a 8-10 size model or so...but the girl above, although gorgeous, does nothing for me.
