I get the food one alll the time, I'm like srsly, I'm good. Why assume that cos I'm fat, a normal sized meal will not satisfy me?

The "are you really going to eat all of that" line made me chuckle. One of my coworkers does that all of the time by saying things like, you must've really liked that "insert food," there's nothing left while never saying a word to one of our thin male coworkers who ate the same meal and some of mine. I end up saying yeah the nerve of me for wanting to eat the food that I just paid $7 for o_O Shocking isn't it?

Yeah, I think the worst ones are "You're not fat" and "you're not like other fat people".
And I'm not big on the "you've got such a pretty face, if ONLY..." my face is hideous and it will continue to be so and it will like it, thanks. :P

Yeah I get the "you're not fat" one a lot and I'm like....don't be so stupid. I am fat. Why try and tell me I'm not when it's an actual fact?

Because subconsciously they think you're attractive, but attractive != fat in their minds; so they can't reconcile a fat person being pretty.

It pisses me off. I am fat. I am beautiful. These things DO compute, thankyouverymuch. I realize our culture propagates this myth, but supermodels do not, in fact, have a monopoly on beauty!

I think the idea is fairly funny, but I'm not a big fan at drawing a divide between "skinny girls" and "fat girls," because all body sizes should be acceptable and there are a great many "skinny girls" who get grief for their body size too. I just don't think alienating smaller-sized people from body acceptance is being kind.

I'd suggest maybe just "Shit People Say to Fat Girls" would be a good title. I applaud you for your bravery at putting yourself up on youtube, though!

I think you have a good point-the way these videos are done when it's "Shit ..... say to ......" is usually taking a specific group, the opposite of the person it's being said to, so I just went along with that and chose a specific group. I didn't really think of it that way at all.
But I am very against any sort of body shaming-on my FB newsfeed at the moment there's a huge craze on it it seems, from people posting pictures saying blonde girls who do Barbie girl type looks are not OK, to the ones saying skinny girls are not ok compared to "real" women, and these make me very angry, and I'm quick to jump in and point out that all women are beautiful, and have the right to look however they want, if it makes them feel good.
Thanks for pointing this out, I will remember it if I make any similar videos - pretty annoyed that I've gone and done something I am usually so against!

Yay, I'm glad! Well, not glad as such about identifying with it, I was speaking to a new friend about it yesterday, she's also big and she couldn't believe that I had genuinely had every single one of those statements said to me, she thought I'd made some up!
