Bra fittings in Seattle?

I'm in desperate need of new bras. I've put this off as long as I can but am down to two old, unfortunate-looking ones (the third one was written off when I had to staple a broken strap back on at work. Fun!) and have been resisting this with all my might, but I finally have to give in. Saw myself in the window of a bus yesterday and realized ( Read more... )

[Hi I'm new!]

I would suggest doing your boobs a favour and finding a speciality lingerie shop/department that has someone trained to fit bras properly (hopefully someone around the comm has a suggestion for where that might be). As for no underwire, I did notice a range of non-wired bras when I was looking at Evans online the other day, but I didn't look too closely as I'm an underwire fan :D

Try calling the Macy's lingerie department and I believe Fashion Bugs in the area are having a bra fitting event sometime in the near future.

I will strongly disagree-

Do NOT go to Macy*s! I went there, and they fitted me for a 42C, which was way too big. They made me cry in the dressing room! They were rude and disrespectful. It was awful.... I later when to Nordstroms, who fit me or a 38E[a US 38DDD] and it has seriously changed my life. I firmly suggest them.

Wow I've never had that happen. That's terrible I've always had excellent service at Macy's even when I didn't spend any money.

Hi!

I just went to Zovo at University Village. They carry everything 30AA to 46K. I was fitted there by a very nice woman who seemed to know what she was doing.

Granted, their larger sized bras are generally limited to Elomi bras, but they can also special order things for you, or you can see what they have and go home and order yourself.

Their stuff is expensive, but worth it. I love my bras!

Hi-five for 44-giantcup! I'm a 44-F.

Any idea if they could recommend someone to do bra alterations?

I would HIGHLY recommend Nordstrom. That is where I got fitted for a bra and there were very professional and helpful. They carry a pretty wide variety of size. They just don't have a huge selection in more uncommon sizes though. I am a 40-C and I have quite a few bras to chose from.
