Bra fittings in Seattle?

I'm in desperate need of new bras. I've put this off as long as I can but am down to two old, unfortunate-looking ones (the third one was written off when I had to staple a broken strap back on at work. Fun!) and have been resisting this with all my might, but I finally have to give in. Saw myself in the window of a bus yesterday and realized ( Read more... )

-waves from Seattle-

Thanks to everyone else for their responses. Once I'm not pregnant and breastfeeding anymore I'll need to go get fitted too.

I only buy Cacique bras from Lane Bryant. While they dont last forever (possibly 5 months, although the only problem I have ever had was the underwire popping out the side, no actual structrual problems). Now, when I went to get fitted my husbands ex girlfriend (who I did not recognized at the time, because now she is a fat, but in no way fab) was the one measuring. After measuring me she told me that they did not have bras large enough in the store for me. I informed her that I was wearing their 42dd at the moment and it fit perfectly. (she was just trying to be a bitch, My sister was the one actually looking for bras and I just decided to get measured as well because its great to be in the know.) I am sure you will not run into this problem when you go. While LB's bras run about $40 per, They consistantly have sales (B1G1 free, B1G1 50% off). As far as no underwire, I am sure they have them, although I would certainly try their plunge with the air pockets because as we all know big boobs have a tendency to be a bit pendulous (this ( ... )

Decent Exposures has custom-made bras. They're not pretty, but damn, they're comfortable.

How supportive are they? I ask because I *am* a giantcup and I really do want something that holds them up - button-down shirts are hard enough to find in my size without having darts fall above my breasts!

Comfortable is very appealing, especially as my poor old bra has now rasped a 3x1 rashy, sore patch on my side and I'm desperate for something that doesn't hurt!!!

I'm 44 I-J, so I understand the rack-o-doom.

They don't really "lift and separate", unfortunately. And they don't provide much support for exercising. Jogging and jumping is painful.

i''m a 36 to 38 - J cup or more depends on the bra but none fit correctly -- i have a real issue due to smaller chest size -V- larger cup size --am in seattle at the moment--have gone to nordies, layne B., and others but can't get anything large enough or if i do there is no seperation same for even the smaller---and i can't wear underwire due to skin issues--so no support which as large as i am is really bad--any ideas--i really, really, need help--Help!

Decent Exposures http://decentexposures.com/ makes custom bras that are reasonably priced. They are not hugely supportive but work fine for everyday wear. Otherwise you're probably going to end up stuck shopping online. Good luck!
