LB discontinued bras

Jun 28, 2009 23:31

Just wanted to give you ladies a heads up - LB will be discontinuing their F, G, and H sizes in everything but the lace full coverage, I believe. LB employees correct me if I'm wrong, but it's definitely being discontinued in the balconette. at least, this is what I overheard a store manager telling a customer ( Read more... )

WHAT?! I haven't made it to an LB store since my breast reduction surgery, but I was sooo looking forward to buying bras at LB once my boobs finally found their post-op shape. What is up with companies discontinuing their largest sizes? I am soooo annoyed/frustrated/disappointed/marginalized/etc.

You're still an F/G/H after surgery? I don't mean to offend you, because I work with a lot of women who've had the surgery done and most of them are F/G/H trying to get into the C/D range.

I think it's a really stupid move. I understand that they need to do what is most cost effective for them, but it's obvious that most F/G/H's buy the balconette. Very few buy the full coverage lace in comparison.

"Still?" LOL. No offense there. I started at a 46K. Although, now that I'm trying to find bras that fit, I've realized that I was probably bigger than that to begin with. The surgeon removed over 1,000 grams from each breast, so I'm significantly decreased in volume. I would've liked to be smaller, but it wasn't possible. Really, this is a good size for me; I just have been completely blown away by how difficult it is to find bras that fit, even at this smaller size!

Oh great. Just when I decided to switch over fulltime to the balconette. I'm an H. No wonder they haven't been replenishing their stock of colors online.

No love for the H cups. No love.

I recommend this bra for people who like the LB Balconette. I switched to this one because it has the same level of support without the sideboning, which always dug into my side fat after like, one wearing.

I always remove the side boning from any LB bra - I'm too narrow on the sides and it causes major welts. But SERIOUSLY?! I'm a 42 H and LB bras - especially the balconette are ALL that I wear!

I feel like crying!

Fuck, this is the only company I had found in the US that carried anything close to my size. I had been writing them letters asking for smaller band sizes, since the clerk had agreed with me that a lot of women came in needing smaller bands and larger cups than the store carried.
I need a 32JJ, but at this very moment I'm wearing a 38H and it's OK enough that I'm at least not in active pain... but it only works in the balconette style.

My best friend wears a 36-H and she buys all her bras at figleaves.com. they may have something you would like.

I can only afford their items on clearance and they recently did away with returns on any clearance items. I was a loyal Figleaves customer for years, but they're a foreign company, hence my remark above about US-based. The only manufacturers of bras in DDD+ sizes, outside of Cacique, are all British. And I can't afford the exchange rate.

if you have a nordstrom rack near you, sometimes, you get lucky and there are $15-30 bras. and it's likely to stay there because very few people buy it!

38H must be an uncomfortable compromise for a 32JJ, but what can you do

LB bras are so frustrating. The lace full coverage is actually the only one I can wear - and they don't last long. I just had two wires in two different bras break in a single week. I tried the smooth coverage something recently in a 42H (the size I supposedly wear) and my ginormous breasts were swimming in it -not something I expect to see in a bra at my size!

Its my understanding that they are going to discontinue them for a short time and then re-launch them with new features. they do this every once in a while with other bra styles. Some stores are also going to get a few new style bras :)

SWEET. I know they just put out a new full coverage no-wire so that's exciting.

i also hope they expand the range of band sizes, because not all fat folks begin with a 38" band size or end with 50"
