LB discontinued bras

Jun 28, 2009 23:31

Just wanted to give you ladies a heads up - LB will be discontinuing their F, G, and H sizes in everything but the lace full coverage, I believe. LB employees correct me if I'm wrong, but it's definitely being discontinued in the balconette. at least, this is what I overheard a store manager telling a customer ( Read more... )

Hell, that doesn't matter to me now. They've stop carrying the bra that I HAD been buying in there for ages, and they only offer 1 halfway decent bra in my size anyway (I'm a 46DDD..)

i'm an assistant manager and on a conference call right before our Semi-annual came up the f/g/h issue was brought up. the f/g/h bras will be discontinued (ie marked down when the semi-annual is over) and lane bryant is RELAUNCHING the F/G/H cup sizes in august. i'm not sure why, but i have a feeling it has to do with merchandising and co-ordinating so EVERY store has more of a selection instead of just a few stores. so if you think about it, the semi-annual sale will end july 6th, the discontinued bras (ie seasonal colors and f/g/h) will get marked down cheaper and cheaper and then about 2 weeks later will relaunch probably. i'll give everyone more info when i learn about it, if someone wants it.

also, if you were a fan of the seven7 jeans, they are relaunching in august as well.

hope that helps?

Oh my goodness that helps so much!!!!

... Any chance they'd offer the larger cup sizes down to the 36 band size? Last time I was there the bra fitter agreed with me that a lot of times she has to put women in too-large bands to be able to get the cup size they need. If you see the above thread about chest measurements, there are a lot of big girls weighing in that they don't carry their weight in their ribcages! And heavier boobs means you need a tighter band. I need a 32, but I'm not holding my breath.
I know it's silly to pester you. But I make a point of bringing it up, since people aren't mindreaders.

But that makes me so excited, to hear that they're not really getting rid of them entirely-- I simply have no other domestic source of bras than Cacique, and I just can't afford to keep importing everything. (Side rant: if Americans are so huge and fat and enormous, why on earth is Britain the only nation on earth that manufactures large-cup bras as a matter of course?)

I don't know if it helps but there are at least a couple of soft cups out there in JJs that are less than 50 and I've got an underwire that was only about 50. Panache has some cheaper ones.

i'm not sure, but that's definitely something i see EVERY day. it sucks having to put someone who's a 32F/G/H into a 36DDD/38DDD/40DD just because that's the closest thing we have. my store gets SO many girls from victoria's secret going "they had nothing! i can't find anything! what do i do?" i have found though that the plunges do pretty good with that, though. the smooth plunge band runs kind of small in the first place so 8x/10, it works pretty well ( ... )

they always carry f-g-h you just have to order them in stores if the store you go to isn't a double platinum store ( an LB with a separate cacique store) To order in store is called LB2ME and they will ship it to your house for free in 4-8 days (you can pay for faster shipping if you'd like)
