Tummy Tuck Jeans WTF?: A Review

The other day I decided I needed some jeans as I've outgrown my standards (SJB Bitten jeans, I will miss you). I was at Cargo Largo, the GREATEST odd lots/salvage store in the Kansas City area. After trying on a dozen pair of jeans in different sizes and brands, I ended up with two. I tried these on at Nordstrom Rack this weekend and I was kind of shocked. I normally like midrise (too low and my butt pops out) so I was not really liking the high rise on them, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I put them on. My stomach was FLAT. I also found them super soft and comfy...but the pair I tried on had these weird bedazzler looking studs up the leg seam, so I nixed buying them. $15 is a great deal!

I bought a pair w/ studs on the back pockets over a year ago. I am still finding studs in my washing machine. :-/

I stole my first pair of NYDJ from my mom at age 17, so they literally became her daughter's jeans, lol.
I looooove them. They're literally the only jeans that fit me, so I have like 3-4 pairs. Minimal back gap (my waist is a foot smaller in circumference than my bum, so back gap is unavoidable), no extra crouch bagginess, really comfy denim. (I just wish they had a bit of a lower rise. And less rhinestone'd pairs. Butt decorations are a personal no-no. Anyone know if they make a wide leg option??) I usually get them on sale at Nordstrom's Rack.

For my big apple belly, the best jeans I've recently found are Levi's 590 jeans, which are specifically designed with apple shapes in mind. I ordered mine online from Kohl's, but can't find them on their website at the moment. Sears apparently has them, as does Amazon.com. Click here for the Sears page.

holy CRAP. thank you so much for this tip! I haven't had a good pair of jeans in months and months, and I love me some snug, comfy denim.
