Seattle fats?

Apr 16, 2009 16:03

Hey there. This is my first time posting here... though I've thought about it a million times and I love lurking.

So... I have a bra question. I just moved to Seattle and I am 8 1/2 weeks pregnant. I've always worn obscure bra sizes, like 42B. This is not very easy to find, especially when I am cheap and want to pay ten bucks for a bra at Target. ( Read more... )

I think the store you speak of is somewhere near the end of a rainbow, ran by a jolly leprechaun who rides a unicorn to work.

Good quality bras cost money, and unfortunately, bras in fat friendly sizes cost even more. For a good fitting, I highly recommend Nordies...and the flagship store downtown has a queer identified employee I used to work with who works in the lingerie dept.

I was afraid of that... the rainbow, I mean. I bet you're right.

Well, thanks for the tip! I'll check out Nordstroms.

I'm sure that we've got a bra store around here somewhere, but honestly? Your best bet is going to be to hit Nordstrom and talk to one of the nice ladies in the lingerie department. Steer clear of the younger girls, which sounds terrible... I've always had better luck with the older ladies.

Their bras are not cheap, but they can tell you what size you are.

If you find maternity/nursing bras in larger band sizes - let us know! I live in the Seattle area and have found zero nursing items for larger band sizes and clothing sizes. (Clothing I wear about a 22/24, band size has bumped up to about a 46 or so from a 42 edging on a 44.)

I will let you know! It sounds like we are very differently shaped (I range from a 14-18, depending on brands, etc, but I'm really broad. Nothing with sleeves ever works for me), but if I find that pot of gold, I will definitely post about it.
Cheers!

Seattle fat ladies! Let's all get on top of the space needle and make it fall down lololol....

No but seriously, that would be kinda cool.
