In reference to the coat, what sort of shape are you and what size do you usually wear on top? I'm short and wondering whether it's worth checking out.

I usually wear size L or XL on top for knits, and 16/17/18 for wovens. They have to have boob room for my 36D/DDs, and the shoulders can't be too broad, as my shoulders are small and slanted. I have a belly, too. Long torso, high waist these days, and a good-sized butt (narrow hips packing a bit of booty).

In general, I'm deep, not wide. ;)

Last time I went to an H&M it was a disaster. Nothing fit, everything was like no larger than a size 14(a small 14). It was ridiculous. I get so mad when girls my size said they found some cute stuff in there, because I've never found anything!

You know, I usually bomb out too (except for accessories). Why do they make a million size sixes, and only one or two large sizes?

Yeah, that and the L is really a medium in disguise. I hate that place.

It's cuz the larger sizes get bought the fastest. I don't understand why they think there isn't a market for fatty clothing if all 16s and 18s disappear within hours of putting them on the racks. The 5x's would disappear off the racks too if they carried them!

I wear jeans. I had this problem before, and I can say this; I now save up to buy more expensive brands of jeans like Levi's, Silver or Guess. They don't wear out so easily.

Marciano would be better but they carry only up to 32!!!! Guess only to 36? I don't know what is wrong with these people!

My roommate totally preemptively patched her favorite pair of jeans. She is short so she has the benefit of being able to use the fabric from the bottom of the pants post-hemming as the patch on the seams. She did it with duct tape first, then the denim over it. I haven't asked her for a full report about their longevity but I can inquire.

I'd love to hear about this. Especially the duct tape bit!
