Duct tape dress form How-To.

Ooh, I see in this posting that greenpony510 also has a duct tape dress form! I love mine. It’s not perfect (the waist is actually about an inch bigger than my waist) but it’s very good for most of my fitting needs. It also serves as a fun way to try out new outfits.

Cool outfit and great tutorial on making a dress form! I've been thinking about making one myself. In high school I had a hugely inspirational, awesome, fat teacher who taught art and did this kind of sculpture -- though she did it by wrapping the body in plastic wrap and then using clear packing tape on top of that.

Yeah, it IS a good way to make a sculpture too! I was reminded of amarama's Iron Maidens when i was making it.

Why are you so cute?!?! And why can't I go with you to the Raconteurs show?!?! Oh. I live 12 hours away.
I'll definitely keep this in mind. I should make one once I start making my own clothes, because I have a feeling I will in the near future, once I stop being dumb and figure out how to sew.
I do like the idea of having a headless Leahtorso around to help me out psychologically. I could even name it too.
If I wanted to be creepy.

You, my dear, are just as cool as I. Yeah, you kind of need to sneak out and drive here in time for the show. Damn the electric fence.

Dumbness be gone! Let the sewing commence!

And yeah, I totalleh thought of naming mine too but then I got distracted by something bright and shiny and I had to steal it and bring it to my nest. Apparently I'm a magpie. MARGIPIE.

That shirt is really cute. I have a duct-tape dressform too!! I had someone help me with mine so that I could have my arms wrapped to my elbows, since a lot of my shirts fall there.
