Exactly. I mean, I can handle offensive! I really can, but I don't know this bothered me so much.

"It's supposed to be offensive" "It's awesome." Yay, fatphobic pseudoporn?

I doubt it's worth your time to write to them though. I just give it a hearty and disgusted roll o' the eyes and ignore it from there.

word. It's easily as sexist as it is fatphobic, so honestly the "it's awsomes" and "it's supposed to be offensives" are more just depressing than anything else. Women who feel like they want to be exploited for the lose. :(

There is actually one really cute Shar Pei puppy in there. Shame the picture had to be wasted on such bullshit.

This is why I don't read Maxim. They are offensive to all women, regardless of size. It's a drunken frat boy in magazine form. The women they post are so airbrushed and fake looking, even guys notice. As one male friend of mine put it "They're good for stroking to but who the fuck would want to go out with that? You'd smear her makeup and she'd die."

I've know a couple of fat druken frat boys...but then againg they were always the first to call a woman fat.

I've noticed that too. Everytime I've seen a man wearing a "No Fat Chicks" t-shirt, they've been pretty damn portly themselves.

Yeah, I don't get that either - how can the pot call the skillet fat? Oh, that's right - guys can be fat, dress slovenly, be unkempt and still be considered the bomb, but all women must be fucking airbrush perfect and a size 0 to be considered attractive, otherwise, she's not human. Ugh, this is like all of the things I hate about PETA and Maxim rolled into one. (Yes, I know that PETA had nothing to do with it, but they are all about the "Fat people are ugly, because they gorge themselves on cute animals" trope, which is one of the feelings I got from this slideshow.) The "Fatty or farm animal?" title made me think of fat camp, which is basically a kind of people farm. Icky.

"Fat people are ugly, because they gorge themselves on cute animals"

I know some fat vegetarians, too.

Yo, fat vegetarians, representin'!

Right, but PETA claims that vegetarianism = instantly lithe body. (If you want to see some truly gross PETA ads, click here. But I don't really recommend it!)
