word. It's easily as sexist as it is fatphobic, so honestly the "it's awsomes" and "it's supposed to be offensives" are more just depressing than anything else. Women who feel like they want to be exploited for the lose. :(
This is why I don't read Maxim. They are offensive to all women, regardless of size. It's a drunken frat boy in magazine form. The women they post are so airbrushed and fake looking, even guys notice. As one male friend of mine put it "They're good for stroking to but who the fuck would want to go out with that? You'd smear her makeup and she'd die."
Yeah, I don't get that either - how can the pot call the skillet fat? Oh, that's right - guys can be fat, dress slovenly, be unkempt and still be considered the bomb, but all women must be fucking airbrush perfect and a size 0 to be considered attractive, otherwise, she's not human. [insert rolling eye icon here]
Ugh, this is like all of the things I hate about PETA and Maxim rolled into one. (Yes, I know that PETA had nothing to do with it, but they are all about the "Fat people are ugly, because they gorge themselves on cute animals" trope, which is one of the feelings I got from this slideshow.) The "Fatty or farm animal?" title made me think of fat camp, which is basically a kind of people farm. Icky.
Right, but PETA claims that vegetarianism = instantly lithe body. (If you want to see some truly gross PETA ads, click here. But I don't really recommend it!)

I doubt it's worth your time to write to them though. I just give it a hearty and disgusted roll o' the eyes and ignore it from there.
