Millionaire Matchmaker is such a strange social experiment. I have mixed feelings about Sons of Anarchy. But my mami is coming tomorrow and I am excited/apprehensive/excited. Holidays are an odd thing this year.

REGARDLESS.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the episode tonight of SOA. :(

BUT, Stahl is one sneaky, backstabbing, brilliant bitch. Holy shit.

I was totally overwhelmed by the whole thing. Did Tara even really say anything? And it was this weird "not quite the finale, but not quite a filler episode" thing too.

Stahl is definitely amazing. And unpredictable. Which I kind of love.

That's why I was underwhelmed - Tara was used like a prop almost the entire time. I also didn't like the fact that Jax had to come and ~save~ her. It was also one of those episodes where I felt very little emotional connection between Tara and Jax, which was SO WEIRD because she's pregnant with his kid and has been kidnapped by a guy who is clearly set on killing her. He was way too calm for my liking, frankly. The build up to it had been so intense that the follow through felt a little dull ( ... )

It's exactly that. There was no verbal acknowledgment of the shit show she just went through or the stuff that HE PUT HER THROUGH either. I guess we were supposed to be able to grab that emotional connection through ~staring~ and it wasn't really about them, it was about the family - but honestly, I felt more between Gemma and Tara if anything else.

(AND NO I WAS LIKE " ... right. Okay." BECAUSE I WANTED HIM TO GROVEL AND HER TO BE LIKE YOU'RE JUST GOING TO HAVE TO GROVEL HARD.)

Oh man. And her eyes. Like O_O the whole time. But definitely. Her character is brilliantly gray and in such a way that is unsettling and uncomfortable and totally unapologetic.
