Millionaire Matchmaker is such a strange social experiment. I have mixed feelings about Sons of Anarchy. But my mami is coming tomorrow and I am excited/apprehensive/excited. Holidays are an odd thing this year.

REGARDLESS.

That's why I was underwhelmed - Tara was used like a prop almost the entire time. I also didn't like the fact that Jax had to come and ~save~ her. It was also one of those episodes where I felt very little emotional connection between Tara and Jax, which was SO WEIRD because she's pregnant with his kid and has been kidnapped by a guy who is clearly set on killing her. He was way too calm for my liking, frankly. The build up to it had been so intense that the follow through felt a little dull.

(And was I the only one that was SO ANNOYED that Tara just took him back after what a raging DICKFACE he had been after he broke up with her? I WANTED GROVELLING AND TARA BEING LIKE, "HEY BITCH, I'LL GET BACK TO YOU ON THAT.")

Stahl bugs me (for stupid reasons - like her mouth being SO DISTRACTING and not in a good way) occasionally, but I kind of love that she's this complex female character that doesn't devolve into stereotypes. And she's not really pinable as a villain or a good guy. She's one or the other as the mood suits her. I totally dig that.

It's exactly that. There was no verbal acknowledgment of the shit show she just went through or the stuff that HE PUT HER THROUGH either. I guess we were supposed to be able to grab that emotional connection through ~staring~ and it wasn't really about them, it was about the family - but honestly, I felt more between Gemma and Tara if anything else.

(AND NO I WAS LIKE " ... right. Okay." BECAUSE I WANTED HIM TO GROVEL AND HER TO BE LIKE YOU'RE JUST GOING TO HAVE TO GROVEL HARD.)

Oh man. And her eyes. Like O_O the whole time. But definitely. Her character is brilliantly gray and in such a way that is unsettling and uncomfortable and totally unapologetic.

Here's the thing: I really wanted them to get back together. I'm a Jax/Tara fan, I love 'em, I love 'em together. However, the bullshit that went down with them in the last episode felt so out of character for Tara. She's not the type of girl that's like, OH THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME! I TOTALLY FORGIVE YOU FOR BREAKING UP WITH ME AND THEN SLEEPING WITH A TRASHY PORN STAR A FUCKING NANOSECOND LATER, NOW LET'S HAVE THIS BABY!

AND LEST WE FORGET SHE WAS ABOUT TO ABORT THE FETUS LIKE 10 SECONDS AGO. I know that traumatic events can often lead to people reassessing their choices, but there was like, NO EVIDENCE of any of that. Just her and Jax holding hands while cooing over the sonogram. I felt like that was watching a really bad H/C fic come to life. Sigh!

Stahhhhhhhhhhhl. I mean, she shot and killed her ATF girlfriend without blinking. Jesus!
