I read Neil Gaiman's blog religiously, and I peek in on occasion at John Scalzi's. I also read editor Ellen Datlow's blog here on LJ

Two author-related places I try to check out regularly are
Lauren Willig's (http://www.laurenwillig.com/news) and Jim Butcher's (http://jim-butcher.com/) websites. One thing I *really* like about Lauren's blog is that she regularly shares tidbits that *didn't* make it into her books and geeks out on historical details/research quite often. ;-) Jim's news section is more impersonal, but he shares some good stuff.

Also, Jasper Fforde's website is probably the most *EPIC* author site I've ever seen. It's quite impressive! http://jasperfforde.com/

(I wanna say that there are others I read from time to time, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.)

Lauren Willig's book are such cheesy fun. I've fallen behind though; haven't read anything since Emerald Ring!

Oh, and although I haven't read any of her books, Heather Armstrong has an entertaining blog/website that sorta runs the gamut of topics like family, style and awesome photos of her dog Chuck (that dog is a natural in front of the camera).

Neil's of course. And I have a friend that is writing her first novel and I read her blog, though I would read it even if she were not writing her first novel as I love her wit and her way with words

I also read Gaiman's blog almost every day, my screensaver is the last pic of Cabal he posted, lol! I check out Joe Mallozzi's blog, who isn't technically an author per se, but a producer/scriptwriter who also has tremendous bookclub and he usually snags each author for a question and answer afterwards.
