Hmm, very interesting. She is an oft forgot woman of the Bible. I enjoyed reading your review, too. I'll have to check out the series.

BTW, I nominated your blog for an award: http://thekoolaidmom.wordpress.com/2008/07/22/i-have-been-nominated/ :-D

This book intrigues me. I really enjoy biblical fiction, especially the new ones about the women in the Bible. I think I will add this to my TBR list.

I haven't bought this one yet, but have looked at it, and want it!

My pastor did a message on this passage of Jael, and I can't for the life of me remember his explanation of it. I'll have to dig through my mom's sermon tapes and see if she has that one. She has to work every other Sunday, so I'm frequently bringing home tapes of the services she misses.

Have you read the other books in this series -- Abigail and Deborah?

I have not yet, but I want to. I have Abigail somewhere (but not easily locatable, wherever it's lurking) but I haven't managed to get a copy of Deborah yet. If one doesn't pop up on Bookmooch or Paperbackswap soon, I'll have to break down and buy it - but I'm not going to worry 'bout it until I find my copy of Abigail!

There's another author who did quite a few Biblical women called Marek Halter. I have a few of his books, and I'm hoping to start one of them, too. But Mt. TBR is ever-climbing!
