As I continue to stuff the ballot box add to my to be read list, I do have to wonder about the last paragraph of this review. To have gone to the effort of writing the story of Jael but not do a good job of connecting the story with the piece from the Bible that makes Jael worthy of being written about, that puzzles me.
I'm glad you've reviewed this as it doesn't sound like one I would be interested in (better to know that then try it and get turned off the whole series). Will you be reviewing the entire series eventually?
I hope to. I've got the Abigail book floating around somewhere and I'm trying to get the Deborah book. We'll see when those reviews actually get posted, though!
I'm not sure I want to read this one. Jael's story would be a tough one to approach, as little is known about her except for one ruthless act, but I still am not interested in something that approaches it half-heartedly.
