I'll start by saying that I was no fan of The Dark Knight.  I thought it was incredibly overratted due to Ledger's untimely death and that it was boring and melodramatic and went on and on and on.  Then again, I just don't really like Batman.  So while I thought this looked cool I didn't go in with big "OMG Chris Nolan!"  expectations.  I did ( Read more... )

How were you not cracking up during that preview?! It's going to be epic. I haven't seen The Hangover but saw when that Zach guy hosted SNL. I thought he was hilarious. Comedy is a tricky genera though. I don't mind crude, mindless slapstick now and then but some of it just doesn't do a thing for me. "Dumb and Dumber", comedic gold. "Anchorman", never been able to watch the whole thing. *shrugs*

ANYway, I totally agree about Leo's character. Way too overdeveloped. He's basically the only one with any history at all and it's way too much. Good point about breaking his up and giving the other characters some background.

The ending worked for me. I don't mind it being up to the viewer to see it how you want but I understand the feeling of being cheated. Overall I thought it was good but there's much better sci-fi/mind benders out there. It's by no means Blade Runner or the first Matrix.
