Congratulations to your wedding! I'm happy to hear that things went so well.
And I might have said it before, but a wedding dress made out of T-shirts is one of the most awesome things I ever heard about. I told my sister about it too and she grinned with glee (the good kind).
I had the worst case of jitters the day before, but was surprisingly calm until I was actually walking down the aisle. (And I now know why hubby wanted our lines to be limited to "I do." That was about all I could handle myself!)
You did mention, but thanks again! There are actually a few books out there about "refashioning" T-shirts. I got the idea from one called Generation T. The author actually put a wedding dress at the end, although mine ended up being quite different.
The "dress" actually ended up being a separate tunic (scoop neckline with the aforementioned trillium flowers down the right side of the collar; side lacings to give it shape; diamond-shaped cutouts in the sleeves) and skirt (A-line with a handkerchief hem). I still think it turned out great; people were surprised that I'd made it, which is always a good sign.
