I wore the T-shirt dress, which was ivory and had trillium flower accents. He wore a sage-green shirt and khakis. I forgot to flip the damn veil down when I was walking down the aisle, but I'm not sure anyone noticed.
Both of us got new shoes for the occasion. I can almost guarantee that his were more comfortable.
There was coconut shrimp, teriyaki chicken, and a tropical fruit platter. The cake wasn't quite what I'd expected (and not quite
Sunday Sweets material-after all, we weren't actually supposed to call it a wedding cake, so it ended up looking like a party cake), but it was still great (orange whipped cream goes perfectly with spice cake, although the caterer was apparently uncertain until she tried it).
Some people showed up whom I hadn't seen in years.
We're going to need a file or a scrapbook or something for all of the greeting cards that we got.
