[Sora pauses not because he's unsure of anything in this case but because it means a lot to him that Roxas has invited him, took the trouble to ask Demyx about it - but especially that Roxas is glad. Part of Sora still expects ambivalence even though he wouldn't call it that, thinks it would be understandable, and it's like being surprised by sunshine when one expects the day to be overcast.

It's pleasant. It's friendly.

There's a mutual kindness here like holding hands and hearts that beat perfectly synchronized. ]

Well, I'm glad you invited me - I'm grateful I mean.

[A lot's changed since they first met, either in their world or this one. Roxas still can't pretend he knows what he expects or wants out of this time they have, but he can be content knowing they have it.
