This drabble is answering two challenges at once: the "White Tree" challenge (hope I'm not too late) and windswept1's request for a drabble about Aragorn and Faramir. And so lovely too... I love love LOVE the Mithrandir/Faramir friendship thing... and I love how Mithrandir knows Faramir well enough to know that he would indeed welcome Aragorn.

Oh, it's beautiful! I like your Gandalf (afraid more than RotK Gandalf!!).

And the end of it...dunno, it's so nice, as well as that "winter" thing.

But maybe it's just that there are so many apple trees in flowers aroung me right now :) And I'm very glad you're a little bit closer to 4th Age, whatever its issues!

Ah... that's very good! The symbolism of the Tree, the relationship between Gandalf and Faramir, Faramir's wish for the King to return... and all in just 100 words!

Thanks! I actually wished I had more words to work with sometimes, but once you start adding, it's hard to know where to stop. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks, Celebne! I'm glad you liked it. And since I didn't say whether "renewing" the tree meant it would be reborn or replanted, I guess this could be either the movie or the book.
