A note to everyone that this community will be going on hiatus. Lately participation has been low, though I think it's mostly because I no longer have enough time to run this community properly and I don't want to leave everyone waiting for their icons to get posted up for voting/ waiting for winners etc.

Option 1:
Theme based: Names
So your icon must have the name of the character featured, or if it's a movie or show, maybe the movie name or show. etc.
You can do abbreviations for long names. For example, for Lord of the Rings, you can use Lotr instead and so on.
