Yes, though recycling a post I made on one of my communities! Pathetic.

My heart is still with LJ and I'm still reading, I just have so little time for posting at the moment. Things should slow down in the next couple of months, I hope.

I don't feel guilty, I just miss it. I have about six post ideas in my head at the moment and no time to convert any of them. So I look to LJ with longing, not guilt.

Yeah, that's probably true! About six months or so but I probably haven't been very overt about it.

why do guys always have to put the seat down? we don't ask girls to put it up for us?

whenever someone goes to the toilet (male or female), there are three ways of using it (I won't go into detail here, but I'm sure you can work them out). two of them require the seat down and one of them requires the seat up. so that means that one way or the other someone is going to have to put the seat up or down. but why should a guy have to put the seat down if the toilet is likely to be used by someone who will require it to be up? wouldn't that be just as annoying for him? (I'm assuming it would be a guy)

I'm sure someone could do a detailed time and motion study on the topic and put the whole issue to bed, once and for all!!!

(good to have you back ;-> )

It is a statistical issue. The seat needs to be down more than it needs to be up so it should stay down the majority of the time ( ... )

Sure.

YOU MEN HAVE NO COMEBACK FOR THESE CONSIDERED REASONS!

Unfortunately, the boy in question refuses to see sense but says he'll try and do it because it makes me happy, not because he agrees with me.

However, I'll take what I can get on this issue.

Can I borrow your expanded toilet argument, blow it up, and hang it in my bathroom? Please?

I can sympathize with the boy on the cell phone issues, because I am the exact same way.

I'm glad you're so happy (beyond the minor issues).

A jug you keep filled with water?

In my house I have a filtered water jug, so you need to refil it from the tap so it filters away for next time you want water. I then use that filtered water to fill up cold water bottles that are kept in the fridge and also use it to fill up the kettle. In the winter (now) I don't worry too much about the cold water, but I do want my water for the kettle and general drinking.

Even when I haven't had a filtered water jug, I usually will have a cold water jug in the fridge.

You are just as hopeless with your cell phone? It's so frustrating!!

But yes, I am happy. :)

(and I keep no intellectual property over the toilet seat arguments - women, use them as you will!)
