Monday, 12 July 2021: A Rainy Day and A Book
A Monday of steady rain. Seemed like a good day to settle down with a book and read the day away. I had to wait until after my monthly cleaning crew of two had left, sometime around noon. It only takes them a bit more than an hour and a half to do my floors, clean my kitchen and bathroom, and dust or wipe all my flat surfaces. Then I curled up on the couch and finished "The Searcher" by Tana French.
I enjoyed it, and it fit perfectly into the mood created by overcast skies and a steady, workman-like rain: nothing fancy but not letting up, either. FanSee
