My seff-quarantined life continues to putt-putt along placidly. That is mostly due to good DNA: in a family where depression is endemic, I inherited my father's cheerful disposition. My default is happiness or contentment. That is not because of any effort on my part; it is innate. I can be sad at times...sad is very different from depressed...but ( Read more... )

Your dinner looks awesome! What a great idea to save the cornbread for fish fry.

Enjoy your long-distance seder.

It's stowed away in the fridge. I have the fish in the freezer, so...soon? FanSee

I'm very much like you; while the whole situation is concerning, I trundle along with me life, doing pretty much what I've always done. My husband, on the other hand, is starting to let all this get to him,

I love the tulips! I always think about planting bulbs but never seem to manage. There's a town called Holland near the lake shore that has a tulip festival every year. Unfortunately, not this year.

Aw, the tulips are so pretty and your picnic looks great. I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit more here so I can take TBG on one. it sounds like you are doing well!

I'm glad we did it when we did. We haven't had a day warm enough since then to repeat the experience. Once it does warm up, I'm going to nag Pam and John for a repeat. FanSee

Awww, I'm so glad that you got to have some visitors. My sister told me that she and her husband bought a very small turkey so that they could still have an Easter dinner even though the family wouldn't all be there. I imagine she'll be sad without her kids around but I'm glad that they are still planning on having a nice meal.

Those tulips are beautiful.

We had a Zoom Passover seder in front of our computers. Strangely enough, it was pretty satisfying...I think we all felt we had somewhat over come the damn COVID-19, so there!

Aren't the tulips gorgeous? I'm interested in what they replace them with. FanSee
