Sunday, 29 March 2020: Day 20 of my social distancing and I'm okay!

At Day 20 I'm reading and hearing reassuring reports about the efficacy of self-quarantining. I know that I've come back to my apartment and forgotten to wash my hands immediately, despite having touched elevator buttons and door handles on my excursion, and have not gotten sick. Your pictures of Philadelphia are so pretty! I wish I'd spent more time in that city when I lived in Pennsylvania.

Where abouts in Pennsylvania? Pittsburgh is 400 miles from us, Erie even further. You can be in Pennsylvania and still be a long day's drive from us.

Like all big cities--5,700,000--nothing compared to, say, Tokyo's 9,200,000--we have our nice neighborhoods and our ratty ones, but the central area is generally pretty. Parts of it date back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. FanSee

I was in Rosemont. I only went to Philly a handful of times, but I recall it not being more than half-an-hour away from us. I loved going to the historical sites.

That's the case with a lot of us. I have seen more action here than I have in years! If it wasn't for the threat lurking outside out door, it would be great.

I am keeping safe. I very much do not want to fall and have to fight off strangers who want to help me up, although heaven knows I could use help. Better just not to fall! FanSee
