At Day 20 I'm reading and hearing reassuring reports about the efficacy of self-quarantining. I know that I've come back to my apartment and forgotten to wash my hands immediately, despite having touched elevator buttons and door handles on my excursion, and have not gotten sick. Like all big cities--5,700,000--nothing compared to, say, Tokyo's 9,200,000--we have our nice neighborhoods and our ratty ones, but the central area is generally pretty. Parts of it date back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. FanSee
