I've had a cold. It's not the flu, it's not bronchitis, it's not pneumonia, it's a common, ordinary, garden-variety cold, and it's made me miz'ble. My nose seems to run non-stop, my throat gets so sore that one night it woke me up out of a sound sleep, and I cough so much that sleeping is difficult and sound sleeping almost impossible. Sam looks even better when her feet are on the ground.

I went to the doctor yesterday, and she confirmed that I just have a cold. My lungs were completely clear. She said all the symptoms except for a dry cough should be gone by next week, but the cough may hang on for another couple of weeks. FanSee

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick; even a cold can be a drag, although it's certainly better than the flu.

Happy birthday to Samantha! Your "cake" looked yummy and, normally, I'm not much of a doughnut fan! ♥

Beiler's doughnuts are exceptional. I really like the glazed or simply iced ones the very best. I knew there was no cake-cake Sam would like more. FanSee

She loved the 'cake' too - it was so unexpected!That made it special.

I saw the doctor yesterday, was told my lungs were clear (my worry!), and that by next week I should be fine except for a dry cough. Apparently this little devil hangs on longer than most colds. FanSee

I think I've turned the corner, but it's already hung on longer than most colds. My father used to say, "Treat a cold and it lasts seven days; untreated it lasts a week." This cold didn't get the memo. FanSee
