I know what you mean. When it comes to manga, it really is best to read the original. Sometimes the translators don't do justice to the mangaka's work, even if they attempt to do so. Not to mention that some slang in Japanese really can't be translated into English.
That's because it's in Japanese, and even the translated volumes have stayed from left to right to give it that more authentic feeling, but it's not the same translated.
