And a belated Happy New Year to you, too! Good work on saving the day for your company. Not a lot of people have the follow-through to pursue the solution as you did. Kudos! From your other posts, sounds like you have weather similar to ours, here, about 40 miles west of Detroit, MI. You have my condolences on that. It sucks!
Sounds like your mum is in for a good time this August too, thanks to her thoughtful children! Being an Anglophile and fan of Regencies (as well as the Sil) I'd dearly love to see Buckingham Palace, and especially Clarence House, where Prinny held court in his heydays!
Hope your new year continues to be prosperous! All the best to you! (Any more of "Escape" written yet?)
Thanks! I spent a year living about 150 miles north west of Detroit! The weather here in Exeter is normally nothing like what I experienced that winter, and there still hasn't been anywhere near as much snow, but the temperatures haven't been far off. As long as it doesn't get as hot in summer I shouldn't grumble too much!
I knew I'd heard of Clarence House in some other context than as the home of the late Queen Mother, and it must have been in Georgette Heyer's books. I must re-read some of them one day.
Alas, "Escape" has been going nowhere recently, mainly because I've been working on a fic about Third Age Angmar instead. I expect Feanor & sons will show up when they're ready to continue the tale! Trouble is, a century probably counts as a short time for them.
