Blaise had never been the kind of person who cared for others' opinions. He was always quiet, and kept to himself mostly. It's not that Blaise didn't have anything to say, he just preferred to share his view with people who were smart enough to understand him. A few of his housemates were, for lack of a better word, morons. The rest were caught up in their own little lives to care about deep discussions.
Ginny had never been the kind of person who followed the rules. She relished in rule breaking and firmly believed rules were just guidelines. They weren't meant to be followed nor did they truly apply to her and a few within her house. She was quite the social butterfly and could be seen flirting up a storm with various handsome boys. She felt something was missing though. She lacked a real challenge. A guy who made her think and not just feel.
It was only a matter of time before fate decided these two would meet. And so it happened on a stormy day at Hogwarts. Ginny was bored and decided it would be a good idea to practice her Quidditch moves that day. She knew it was raining nonstop and she could hear the wind howling all over the castle. She snuck out of the castle and made her way to the Quidditch Pitch, simply doing this drenched her within seconds. Soon she mounted her broom and was flying laps around the pitch.
Blaise had always enjoyed stormy days. He found them to have a calming affect on him. An affect he couldn't explain, even if he wanted to. He walked by the Great Hall and soon noticed the castle door was slightly open. Curiosity reared its head at that moment because Blaise had to peak out to see if he saw anyone. Sure enough, he saw a small figure flying laps around the pitch. The next thing he saw horrified him. A bolt of lightning appeared out of nowhere and struck some bleachers near the person flying. Next thing he knew the person was falling to the ground at a fast speed. Blaise didn't have to think twice about it. He ran as fast as his feet could muster.
The rain weighed him down and because of this he couldn't run as fast as he wanted to. He did his best and soon was running over to the person who had fallen. The person's robes were covering their face. Their broom was on the ground not that far away. He uncovered the person's face and revealed bright red hair.
"Ginny Weasley," he whispered to himself.
She didn't seem to be moving. Concerned filled his body and he gently picked Ginny up off the ground. He started to walk towards the castle when Ginny stirred. He stopped walking and looked down at the girl he was carrying.
"What happened?" she asked softly.
"You fell from your broom," he replied.
Ginny wasn't expecting a reply and snapped out of her daze. She realized she was being carried. "Let go of me!" she screeched.
Blaise put her down and said, "I was only trying to.." A vicious slap met his face. Ginny was breathing rapidly, her face red with anger. Blaise stood there motionless for a while before he started to walk towards the castle. Ginny didn't follow him. She just watched his retreating figure.
"That'll teach him to touch me again."
