Alicia considered Angelina and Katie sisters. They had been through so much together throughout their years at Hogwarts and were still friends, even though they were going their separate ways and leading different lives long after leaving school. Every Friday afternoon they met up for dinner and they would catch up about life, love and any interesting things that were coming up in their careers. Angelina had just married George and was preparing to go on a honeymoon with him. Katie had just gotten engaged to Oliver Wood. She was excited but nervous about planning the whole event, so she was opting to make it the longest engagement she could. Alicia, on the other hand, didn't know where her love life was going. She was dating Miles, but it was and on and off arrangement. She wasn't certain whether or not she wanted to settle down with him.
"Your career is going great. You have your own place. Overall, all is well. You could either try to make it work by talking to him about your concerns or you could ditch him," Angelina told her bluntly.
Katie nodded. She didn't have anything to add. She was too busy trying to figure out what to do about picking a maid of honor. She didn't want to pick between Alicia and Angelina so she was thinking about picking her sister instead so no one's feelings were hurt. Alicia listened intently, trying to take the best pieces of their advice.
At the end of the day she decided to approach Miles, but not in the conventional way. She seduced him. She aroused him. She made his night the best it had been in years and when it was all said and done, she asked for him to make it exclusive. He was taken aback. She hadn't seen this side of Alicia in months.
"If you keep surprising me like this then yes."
"Is that the only reason?" she asked him, glaring at him in the process.
"No, you know I love you."
"You better," she said as she hit his arm lightly and proceeded to put together their dinner.
"Let me help you with that," he offered as he rushed to join her in the kitchen.
As Miles took over the cooking duties Alicia couldn't stop herself from smiling. She needed to ask her sisters for advice more often. She wasn't going to tell them about this small victory just yet. She was going to relish in this for now and savor every moment for what it was worth.
