Summary: Bookverse, prequest: The garden at Bag-End gets worse every year. Or maybe it's just his knees.
Warning:(if there are any) A small bit of premediated violence to plant life; not reccomended for Ents. ;) Hamfast is Tolkien's.

( There were more stones in the garden this year. )

Thanks! First time I saw the sunflowers in the garden, I thought they were nettles. Fortunately, the only really annoying weed we had this year was a bit of poison ivy...

Anyway, a verse sweet drabble. It's rare to find pre-verse hobbit fic (not that I've searched for it... *tugs nervously at collar*) and I like it.

Thank you! As far as hobbit-fic goes... me neither, on both counts.

I would reccomend "My Adventure" and "The She-Dragon of the Shire" on FF.net, though: The first is about Bilbo's mom and her encounters with elves, Dunedain, and a Warg, and the second deals with Lobiella over the course of the War of the Ring, though much of the first half, at least, is set before it.
