A Conversation Behind Doors
Wolfram stormed through the hallways, cursing all the while. He was on his way to Gwendal’s office, demanding an explanation for Yuuri’s absence. He stopped short in front of the door, preparing to knock, when Greta’s voice drifted out from the other side. Her voice had a ring tone to it. Wolfram stopped and listened in after making sure he was alone in the hallway.
“He’ll be alright, you don’t need to worry.” That was Gwendal’s voice … were they talking about Yuuri?
“You’re sure?” Greta’s voice answered. “It’s dangerous isn’t it? This mission? Why didn’t you and Wolfram join him?” Her voice was laced with fear.
Wolfram placed a hand on the door, the palm flat against the wood, with his eyes closed.
There was a rustling sound. “It’s a life or death situation, and it has to be done by Yuuri alone. Do you understand?” Gwendal asked softly.
Silence. Wolfram opened his eyes.
“Yes, I do,” came the answer.
