Ahhh, poor Simmons! Man, that just sucks all around (not the story, it was great). Poor Grif is so tired, Simmons is alone and the other Reds are dead (!!!).

I can't see Grif leaving Simmons alone myself, but then again, I do see Grif knocking Simmons out and carrying him onto the ship so that he wouldn't be alone.

That was really good, though. I loved how Simmons and Grif saw two different people in Sarge. Simmons is trying so hard to live up to Sarge...good for him!

An lovely fic, michy. I really enjoyed it!

Haha, yeah it would have been awesome if Grif took Simmons by force... and it might make a really hot NC-17, haha ;D... but for the sake of staying in character, I really think Simmons would choose loyalty and Grif would choose freedom over the other person.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. :D ♥

Ack! I'm not going to cry. I'm not. I totally feel Simmons' emptiness now. I guess I'll just have to go write some smut until I feel better...^^

Aww, I love your stuff, Mich. I applaud you for tackling the mighty 100 ficathon madness.

And you've got Simmons pretty much nailed - his darker potential especially, which I find *thrilling*.

Soap opera Simmons is <3!

(And, yes, I went through and read all the fics you've finished so far instead of studying for finals. Pssshhh. Sue me.)

Carry on, solider.

Thank you so much! Yeah, when I first signed up for fanfic100, I thought I would just do 100 100-word fics. 10,000 words is nothing, right? Yeah, well most of them end up being a whole lot more than 100 words. ;D But they're all just going to be short little scenes that I'll probably incorporate many of into a larger fic anyways.

Thanks for reading and reviewing! ♥ Now go study. :P

Wow. Just wow.

Emotion? Check.
Believability? Check.

I love the way you did this. It's a believable ending, and the obvious pain to bolth of them of losing Sarge is palpable. And the obvious non-pain of losing Donut is also noticed. ;D

Soap Opera? Maybe. Pretty F***ing great? Check and mate.

Oh no! I didn't mean for there to be non-pain.... it's just that, the whole subject of the piece was whether or not to stay and fight.... and I don't know if Donut would have cared either way. It was just the argument over what Sarge would have wanted, that's what they disagreed on...

Anyways, I'm glad it's realistic. I really try to keep them in-character, but with the drama stuff, it's hard because most of RVB is just goofy stuff. So I feel like, anything non-goofy is OOC. But anyways, cool, thanks. :D

Maybe I should clarify ... I completely agree with how Grif and Simmons react to losing Sarge, with the pain of Simmons and the way he holds so tightly to his memory and resists Grif's derisive comments. And how losing Donut didn't bring out the sort of intense feeling of losing something.

I really think you hit the nail on the head with Grif's and Simmons' reactions to Sarge being killed. Grif wanting to get out and move on and Simmons having a nice, complex chemical cocktail in his noggin that prevents him from being rational and fueling his desire to hold up to an ideal that he alone now holds.

Very Grif, very Simmons. Bravo, ship. (Wait, did I say that already?)
