I really need school to start again

And not because T has been difficult or anything.  On the contrary, aside from him having a cold/cough this week, he's been exceptionally good and I've enjoyed my time with him.  Even if it has been on the boring side because he's been sick/it's been snowing/and I've been too tired.  No, the reason I really need school to start again is so I can go ( Read more... )

With the help of some night-night pills, I crashed at 10 last night. Yesterday was awful and I needed the sleep too badly to stay up late once again.

He goes back Monday, right?

Yes. Starting Monday I won't have to choose between writing and sleep anymore. At least, not for a while.

You have the Mounteer gene for worrying. Your book will turn out very well, you will get the word count you want, you won't forget anything...just enjoy writing and creating! Winter breaks can be rough but at least T isn't missing school because of his illness. Hang in there.

Most of the time my excitement wins out. But I did have a huge rush of panic last night when I finished a scene that turned out longer than I'd anticipated (and this was even after making as many cuts to it as I could) and saw my word count.

You are so close...you rock! I hope you get some rest and it all continues to flow. I find myself doing the same things...including the...what if I forget this part and it never makes it into my book (hence the notepad by my bed...because I know if I get back up to go type it on my computer after just laying down at 1am, 2am...I'm not going to sleep the rest of the night). It's a tough juggling act. You can do it! woo-hoo!

My brain is pretty much mush today. As much as I want to write -- the drive is SO strong -- my eyes blur when I try to look at the screen. I think it may do me some good to take the weekend off. Plus, on Monday can I go back to writing during the day. That'll help a lot.

Yay for writing progress -- and yay for school! (Is this winter break? WE don't have that here...)

Oh sure, gloat why doncha? ;) Yeah, it's mid-winter break. I think it's a north east thing or maybe a NY thing. I know we never had mid-winter break when I was in school in UT and WA.

A little bit. I printed out the scene I wrote on Thursday night and took it with me to work on after a book club meeting Saturday. I ended up tearing it apart. Today I put it back together but that's all I did. I'm actually surprised I got that much since I seem to have caught T's cold or flu or whatever it is.
