Buffy was sitting at the bar with several fans pointed in her direction. She was also chewing ice cubes. Which was doing wonders to get rid of frustration in addition to cooling her off.

Buffy was preparing for Parents Weekend by...doing absolutely nothing. She figured being a sanctuary from the under 21 crowd was enough of a service to the adults this weekend.

Buffy was putting her skills to use today by cleaning some of the more unreachable places of the bar tonight. She had little to no cleaning skills but she did have the balance and agility to attempt some of the more hard to reach spots. Look at her, earning her paycheck.

Buffy did not understand nor did she care about soccer, but she did appreciate the World Cup when it came around. All those sweaty guys tackling each other. That was an event she could get behind.

So she would be spending her shift looking up the various sweaty guys on her phone. It'd help her pick which team to root for.

Best part about being a bartender in the summer was definitely having an excuse to order a bunch of fresh fruit. Sure, they were for tropical fruity drinks. If anybody happened to order one. Until then, it was snack time for Buffy.

Buffy was sitting at the bar, reading news articles on her phone and eating maraschino cherries. Occasionally she'd drop one down her shirt and have to go fishing for it, which was annoying but the price you paid for cherry deliciousness.

Buffy was doing a bit of late spring cleaning at the bar. Some of the cheaper liquor nobody used had gathered quite a bit of dust. It was really gross, actually.

Buffy was around...somewhere. She had been taking inventory and it turned out to be waaaaaaay more extensive than she initially thought. Why were there so many different types of vodka?

Buffy had joined one of those online book thingys where you'd vow to read so many books in a year. Maybe one hundred was too ambitious. Fifty seemed pretty steep too...

You know what? If she finished this book she'd consider it a win.
