Piper was very grateful when Weevil opened Caritas extra early so she could decorate and set up for Veronica's surprise party.

She was also relieved when Tino informed her that Veronica would be late. Not that she was going to have to work anyway. It's her birthday party after all.

Bel wandered in, headed for the bar, and ordered a beer from Tino. He sat down on a stool, leaning back and waiting to see who was showing up.

Still, drinking = good.

Nadia dropped off an unwrapped purse with two small wrapped presents inside.

She'd expected to have to mail those. For Veronica's next birthday. Funny how things worked out.

Veronica was still concerned about Cameron when they finally arrived at Caritas. She also hoped Tino wasn't too pissed at her for being so late. But after the stuff Dr. Troy said, there was no way she was going to leave Cam alone.

Cameron hopped after Veronica, but fumbled with his crutches so he could lag behind a bit and have Veronica get the full surprise effect.
