FANDOM EXPOSITION, The Park, All Day Saturday (8:00 - 23:00)

Where had the staff come from? Nobody knew. But sometime at six in the morning, a group of people arrived in the park and immediately spread out over the premises, constructing a bunch of nondescript stands at a rapid pace. They set out cheap soft drinks on the picnic tables, put up some large banners, cleaned the place up and scared off a few

... Well, this was unexpected, if not surprising. One minute, Karolina had been flying high above Los Angeles, the next minute she was here.

She found she really didn't mind, though. She'd been gone for way too long. And, ooh, there was a market! So, she went to get herself a soda. Time to see if she'd find anything interesting.

Karolina shrugged and spread her hands. She really didn't know. "Maybe for today? Or the weekend? It's really hard to tell with the way Fandom is."

So, she was just shrugging.

"I should make more of a point of trying to visit more often."

"Yeah, so should I," Jim said with a shake of his head and a laugh. "I'm actually just stopping in really today. Just wanted to see what was going on, see if there were any pretty girls around and then I was back off."

That's right, someone had found her confidence while they'd been apart!

"Aaaaah, someone's proud of herself," Jim said, impressed. "When did that happen?"

"I guess I've just had time to get more... more comfortable with myself."

"That's great!" Jim exclaimed, grinning. "That's really good and it's really deserved. You're a great person and you deserve to feel like that."

She snickered again, then looked up at him again.

"So do you want to maybe hang out? Or did you come with company?"

"I was planning on looking and leaving so no, I didn't come with anyone," he told her, shaking his head. "What's even going on right now? I just came over here because of all the noise."

"Oh, it's some kind of a market." She'd had enough time to figure out that much. "But... Fandom style. So it's all random."

"You seen anything cool we can do?" he wondered curiously.

"I don't think I've seen anything cool at all," she admitted. (Okay, except maybe the music stall, but that was for... different reasons than what they were going for here.) "There's a bar, you might like that?"

"I don't wanna do anything if you don't like it," Jim said with a shake of his head. "Besides, I shouldn't drink since I'm on duty in a little bit. That'd get me in trouble."

"Well, there was also a newspaper stand?" she offered, mostly joking.

Jim eyed her for a second and laughed. "Okay, I couldn't tell if you were serious or joking for a second. I got a little concerned."

"Ooh, and little boats to float on the pond!"
