The ship above Earth hadn't moved. The Brood inside were just waiting for the embryos to hatch and take over the humans so that they could reclaim them and at the very least build up some of their numbers again. There was still plenty of damage they could do.

All they had to do was wait.

Jaina flew her X-wing as close as she could without getting caught in the crossfire, and put everything she had into hitting the weak spots on the ship. Hopefully they weren't going to need to fight more ships, because she wasn't going to have much left in terms of weaponry.

The Ebon Hawk had hit position a few moments ago. Atton tried not to think too much about Peragus as he hit the guns for as much as they were worth, firing volley after volley into the ship.

The Mynock had weapons and shields far better than the outside of the ship would reveal (Bantha had learned the important lessons of the Falcon when he made things), so Cade fired all of his considerable power at the breach Jaina and Atton were making.

And finally...

As parts of the ship caught fire and exploded, the rest of the pilots- and Fandom- were going to want to get out of the way, as a few moments later the whole thing was going up. No more ships were coming out to follow them, and in a minute there wouldn't be any Brood left. Fandom had won the day.

As long as they could get rid of those pesky embryos.
