Homecoming Carnival Post II | The Park | Friday, October 23

Since no murder carnival had decided to visit the island recently, the Student Council had agreed that holding the regular, traditional carnival would be a good way to start out Homecoming Weekend. This year, the tables all looked kind of woodsy, and were surprisingly glitter-free. It was a minor miracle.

Seriously, no glitter? Had something terrible happened to this town since Jaina had last been here?

She took a seat at one of the tables to see who was here, and she was half expecting glitter to rain down from the sky when she was least expecting it, not that she would admit that out loud.

"That's not so bad. Karrde's a good guy." She was being careful about Mara only because she missed her and she didn't want Luke picking up on that. "He was even at my wedding."

"Yeah. I mean, he'll still do what he needs to do, but I kind of always figured they went where the money was back then," Jaina said, realizing she had never actually asked that.
