Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Mixer, Community Center, Saturday Evening

Much like the last time this event had taken place, it would appear to anyone who came to the community center tonight that whoever had been responsible for decorating for the reunion mixer actually had some taste. The decorations were simple - blue linen on the tables with gold flowers as centerpieces, and a notable lack of any tacky accoutrements

As soon as a slow song came on, Momoko was tugging her husband onto the dance floor. "Its been too long since we've done this," she sighed, stepping into his arms happily.

"Mmhmm," he murmured, grinning as they fell easily into rhythm with the music. "Let's hope I remember how to do it," he teased.

"The key is to not let me out of your arms." She relaxed into him with a smirk. "But we could always move into one of the dark corners, if you think you're that bad."

"You know," Jaime mused, "that's pretty tempting, but for other reasons." His grin made it pretty clear what he was thinking.

"Why what other reasons could there possibly be for shadowy corners?" Momoko feigned innocence.

"Well, if you're still curious after this dance, I'd be glad to show you."

"Make it two dances and you totally have a deal. " Momoko snuggled closer. "Mmmm. This feels so good, just being held by you with no worry that someone is going to pop in or that one of us has to leave."

"One of them a Salsa?" Jaime counter-offered before nodding in agreement. "And, yeah. I mean... when was our last real time off?" With neither of them on call.

"If you can get this DJ to play the music, you know I'll dance it." Well, as long as he was her partner. "I can't remember the last time with neither of us on call and Natalia not sick with the measles or something. Seems like it's only when one of us is sick or injured that we get time together anymore."

"I know," Jaime sighed and grinned at the same time. "So we better make the most of it, huh?"

He took her hand and spun Momoko out in a slow turn.

Momoko chuckled as she took the turn. "I was hoping you'd say that. I was totally planning to bribe you into a leisurely dinner and a beachside walk later. Maybe seeing if the onsen is open?"

"Those sound rather fun, but I find myself intrigued by this bribe you mentioned. What did you have in mind?"

Oh, it was enough, but Jaime was going to see what else he could get out of it. "Well, that does sound pretty tempting, but I don't see how it counts as a bribe since it's what you want, anyway."

"What I want isn't the onsen, it's what would be in the onsen," she pointed out. "But if you're set on a bribe, you're going to have to wait until you convince the DJ to play the music."
