Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Mixer, Community Center, Saturday Evening

Much like the last time this event had taken place, it would appear to anyone who came to the community center tonight that whoever had been responsible for decorating for the reunion mixer actually had some taste. The decorations were simple - blue linen on the tables with gold flowers as centerpieces, and a notable lack of any tacky accoutrements

As soon as a slow song came on, Momoko was tugging her husband onto the dance floor. "Its been too long since we've done this," she sighed, stepping into his arms happily.

Jaime stiffened for a moment, before pulling her in even closer. "You have a good point." He grinned. "And I seem to have a serious incentive to convince our DJ..."

"You can do it. I have faith in you." Momoko purred and let his sway carry her for a moment. "And if he refuses, I totally have faith in Khaji'da's hacking skills."

That earned a surprised laugh from Jaime, disrupting the rhythm for a moment before finding it again and stepping back to set up a dip.. "Is that why you've kept me around this long? Access to hacking skills?"

He grinned. "And I guess I'm lucky, because I keep you around for being smart and pretty and way too caring." He grinned. Turned out that he thought that was hot.

Jaime outright laughed at that.

"Well, one out of two ain't bad."

She laughed with him. "You know, someone asked me the other day how we've stayed together so long with our crazy schedules."

"And did you tell them that you've had some form of temporary insanity? For the past twenty years?" Over the years Jaime had stopped wondering what she saw in him and just learned to accept it, that he was a better person than he thought he was, but it was still an old go-to joke between them.

"Like they'd believe that," she giggled, swatting him slightly. "I said you drug my baked goods every day. But that it was only fair, since I do the same to your coffee."
